The Grundfos SCALA2 is a smart and efficient water pump, equipped with inverter technology that automatically adjusts to meet your household’s water needs (it’s a variable speed pump). It gets rid of unwanted pressure variations, resulting in lower operating costs.

• Perfect pressure: This pump uses variable speed inverter technology, which means it automatically adjusts its speed based on how much water you’re using, giving all your taps the perfect pressure.

• Ideal for lower water sources: Thanks to its great suction lift abilities, the SCALA2 can pull water from sources that are as much as 8 meters below the pump. This makes it perfect for situations where your water source is located below the level of the pump.

• Extremely quiet: The SCALA2 operates very quietly, so you won’t have to worry about disturbing your family or neighbors when it’s running. It clocks in at just 47db, which is comparable to a dishwasher cycling.

SCALA2 Pump Curve:

How does a pump performance curve help me? Here is a simplified explanation:

A pump curve shows you what a pump is capable of – how much water it can move (flow) and how high it can lift it (pressure). The horizontal line on the chart is for the water flow, and the vertical line is for how high the pump can push the water. But remember, the pump’s job gets tougher if it needs to push water up high or through filters, fittings and pipework that create friction or drag. This ‘eats up’ some of the capacity, meaning the actual outcome at your tap could be different.
