2. Water Tank Cleaning
How much sludge is in the bottom of your tank? Tank cleaning uses a small amount of water and should be repeated every 1-3 years…
Description
- The Ministry of Health recommend inspecting your tanks annually, and we have found that cleaning your water tank approximately every three years is important to maintain the health and quality of your stored water. (When we visit, we will advise you if for any reason, we think cleaning should be done more or less regularly, as this can be site specific)
- Using our Vacuum-suction method, we can clean your water tanks, through the man-hole and Vacuum the sediment from the bottom of the tank, in a similar way as cleaning a pool.
- This method means we can clean your tank/s without having to empty the water from them, and in most cases we don’t need to physically get into the tank.
- On average, we can clean a tank in less than one hour each, and as long as we have your permission, we can normally do this without you having to be present.
- Water loss is minimal and winter-time is perfect to get this done, giving you more “clean” storage space for summer, when you will often run your tanks quite low.
- As you would imagine, we have the latest Vacuum pump, designed for this type of work, which allows us to remove heavy waste such as built-up leaves and built-up sediment that challenges other systems
- Our operator has significant experience and will also be able to discuss any aspect of problem-prevention and maintenance surrounding your water supply
- Get on our “Tank Cleaning database”, and we’ll call you once every three years to ask if you’d like us to come out again, or at any period of time you wish us to.
